7 Steps to Writing Business Use Cases

Download this infographic for a quick outline of the seven steps you need to perform to get clear and complete use cases.

Use cases are a very common technique (for modeling functionality of a product at a high-level or detailed level. They can be used to scope and identify epics and high-level requirements, or can be a technique to explore and detail a lower level activity or task or user story — in order to discover acceptance criteria or detailed functional specifications.

These steps (and their variations) are taught in a variety of IAG BA courses (both agile and traditional) and are used by our consultants on project engagements.
