Job Description:
We currently require a number of Requirements Architects to provide business and systems requirements consulting services on consulting projects with our clients.
You bring 10+ years of diverse IT (mainframe through client/server) experience, and a strong business background to this consulting position. You have worked in a variety of industries on many different type of systems and have above average proficiency in data modeling. Ideally, you have Best Requirements Practices experience, from The Information Architecture Group's Best Requirements Practices.
You are comfortable working at a strategic and a detailed level and with all levels of business and technical subject matter experts in the elicitation of business and systems requirements. You have a degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or equivalent experience. You also possess excellent knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and specifically Software Engineering and Structured Systems Analysis and Design methodologies.
Your background has extensive business and systems experience and might include the positions of: Business Analyst, Systems Analyst Independent Consultant, Project Leader, Database Analyst, IT Management role in either a systems or business environment.
You are able to work quickly, understanding the information you need from the client sessions, organizing and presenting it in a coherent and unambiguous manner. The ability to work long hours on short, intensive, fast paced, results oriented projects is a key determinant of success.
Ability to travel is required.
Responsibilities include:

Analyzing and production of Business Requirements Specifications, Requests for Proposal, System Requirements Specs, Software Design Documents.

Describing and documenting and managing detailed specifications presented using various models, in different formats, style and language as appropriate for the client, methodology and project.

Coordinating the Requirements Management Process through to Detailed Design.

Coaching, mentoring and training of client systems staff in software engineering best practices.

Requirements management throughout the front-end of the development project -- This would include such activities as preparing and managing the project plan for the requirements & design phases.

Conducting Peer Reviews and Client Reviews of Specifications.

Some facilitation of Requirements Analysis and Design (JAD) Sessions with Business and Systems Clients.
